pyarrow.field(name, type, bool nullable=True, metadata=None)

Create a pyarrow.Field instance.

Parameters

  • name (str or bytes) – Name of the field.

  • type (pyarrow.DataType) – Arrow datatype of the field.

  • nullable (bool, default True) – Whether the field’s values are nullable.

  • metadata (dict, default None) – Optional field metadata, the keys and values must be coercible to bytes.

Returns
